We are focused on following all CDC and OSHA guidelines to help reduce the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. Here are some common dental emergencies.
Knocked-Out Tooth
If a tooth has been knocked out, call our office immediately. In some situations, we will be able to preserve the tooth.
Broken, Chipped or Cracked Tooth
Did you have a tooth crack, chip or break? If so, call our Sunset Dental office today so we can fix this problem. A serious or painful break, crack or chip can require some ice to the outside of the face to reduce swelling and warm saltwater rinses to help with infection, swelling and inflammation.
Abscessed Tooth
An abscessed tooth is an emergency because it is a large pocket of pus causing an infection. Abscessed teeth are dangerous and could hospitalize you if you do not have it treated quickly. An abscessed tooth will end up causing tender lymph nodes, facial swelling, persistent toothache, and more. Without treatment, the infection will continue spreading into the jaw and other tissues, leading to serious problems.
